Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, we create all our ice packs in the USA using food-safe, BPA-free materials. Our focus is on durability, effectiveness, and eco-friendliness.
Our Story
The idea for Cooler Shock® came about when our founder, John Smith, was on a camping trip with his family one summer. He realized that the ice packs he brought simply weren’t keeping their cooler cold enough. Their food spoiled quickly in the heat, forcing them to cut the trip short.
When John returned home, he knew there had to be a better solution. He partnered with longtime friend and cooling expert Jane Doe to create a reusable ice pack that could outperform traditional gel packs.
After months of research and testing, Cooler Shock® was born. Our patented ice packs use a proprietary formula that retains cold far longer than typical gel packs.
We launched with just one product – our flagship Screw-Top Rectangle Ice Pack. It was an instant hit with campers, tailgaters, and anyone who needed maximum cooling power.

Our Process
Creating a durable, reusable ice pack that outperforms gel packs takes extensive research and testing. Here’s a look at our design and production process:
Research
We continuously research advancements in cooling technology and materials. Our team experiments with different formulas and components to find the optimal balance of longevity, temperature reduction, and food-safety.
Prototyping
Once we’ve identified a promising new ice pack design, we create multiple prototypes. These undergo stress tests by being subjected to extreme hot and cold temperatures, drops, shakes, and more.
Fine-tuning
If a prototype passes testing, we’ll tweak the design to maximize effectiveness. We’ll adjust the formula, shape, size, and features based on performance data and user feedback.
Manufacturing
Our U.S.-based factory has stringent quality control standards. We use BPA-free plastics and food-safe materials in every ice pack. Limited production runs ensure consistency.
Testing
Before any new ice pack goes to market, final products undergo a battery of tests. We measure cooling capacity, ensure a leak-proof seal, and confirm they’re durable enough for repeated reuse.
Launch
Once a product passes all tests with flying colors, it’s ready to launch! We’ll produce an initial batch to fulfil pre-orders and stock our warehouse. After launch, we closely monitor customer feedback.
